In 1999, my journey into the world of Saltillo Tile began, connecting me with its rich history and shaping my business endeavors. Tasked with finding a reliable supplier for Hand Made Saltillo Tile in the American market, I forged a partnership with a company that had longstanding ties to the Union in Saltillo, Mexico. This collaboration led to an exclusive distribution deal with a major player, supplying 120 containers monthly coast to coast.

Over the next seven years, I managed the production process, ensuring timely delivery and even designing tailored boxes and pallets for our partner. My passion for Saltillo Tile grew as I learned about its exclusive clay and techniques, unique to Saltillo, Coah., Mexico, and its 400-year-old tradition.

Despite setbacks, including the termination of our partnership with H.D. in 2007, I took control, securing trademarks, implementing higher quality standards, and introducing our custom sealers for protection of the life of the tile for the American market. This marked a new chapter in preserving the legacy of Saltillo Tiles, rooted in history and tradition.
